It’s been a while since my last update and so I felt it was due time for one!
Everything is going great. The kids have all had their birthdays. Katlyn is 5, Karyn 3, and Christopher is now 1!
Chris and I are looking forward to a fourth child. We joke that we hope to get pregnant in December so we’ll have a September baby – then we’ll have June, July, August and September, each 2 years apart. haha But of course we see the benefits of space between them and know that God sees the bigger picture and the perfect moment for a sweet addition, so we’re trusting His perfect timing!
I’ve been spending some time with an old friend from elementary school and she has three kids. It’s been very fun babysitting her kids. I never thought I’d ever say that 6 children are easier than 3 but I suppose I never realized how less complicated 3 are also! I’ve been learning so much and it’s made me all the more excited about the prospects of our having a big family. The girls have been enjoying the friendships that have been built and they look forward to our visits together.
Speaking of my girls – they are so stinkin’ cute. They are talkers and will talk your ear off if you let them… telling you about all their toys or fun things they’ve done within the last YEAR – LMBO! Katlyn doesn’t forget a thing and Karyn is a cuddle bug. Katlyn is my child of logic and is very inquisitive. She always wants to understand everything around her and will ask you a billion questions until it all comes together and makes sense. When she plays Barbies, she wraps her babies and trains her children – she disciplines and teaches them. When she plays with toy animals she will separate them into categories (dark, light, cat, dog, male, female – you name it) and thinks your silly if you mess up the obvious order! LOL
Karyn is my dreamy
girl. She loves to sing and dance and build things. She will play in the sand, play with legos, or the barbies for hours, singing away and pretending. She’s been starting to ask a lot more questions. Both of them love a good movie and LOVE it when Daddy gets home. He is their very special person and all the kids completely change their attitudes – no matter what it is when he walks through that door. It is really sweet.
Christopher is getting SO big. I should really weigh him today to see where
he’s at now but a couple months ago he was 25lbs. He’s wearing 12-18 months clothes now and has been for a couple months. He’s starting to take steps while holding on and loves pretty much anything – because it all goes straight to his mouth. haha He loves the cat but since he isn’t very graceful or knowledgeable in gentleness we have to watch him closely because he has picked her up more than once by the EAR!!! Poor cat! She’s really great about it though – although I wonder if it’d be better for her to scratch him so he doesn’t do it again! haha
We decided to hold off and save a little more in order to get a house. We trust when it’s time it will all work itself out. Until then, we’re learning we have a lot more room than we realized. Or should I say we’re learning to improvise! hehe
Well, that’s the about gist of it… Have a very blessed day! xoxo
