*Rushes quickly as if I’m timing her*
“Done, Mama!”
“Good! Now take this basket and pick up all the clothes you find!”
*Rushes quickly and sings a little too*
*Comes to me pouting…*
“Mama! I was only able to get two in the basket… Christopher got the reeeest.”
“It’s not a competition silly, it’s okay if he helps you!”
*Big smile* “Ohhh… tsss.”
“Now go into the other room and see if you can find some in there, okay!”
*Runs down the hallway – Christopher and her both giggling about it as they find clothes to put in the basket*
“Here’s all the clothes! Here’s all the clothes I can find! OH! Here’s some pants!”
“Great, pick them up please.”
“THEY-ERRRRR!”
“Great job! Now bring the basket over to the dryer, go blow your nose, and then you can go play some more! Thanks for your help!”
*BIG smile… then RUNS down the hallway.”

*STOMP STOMP STOMP* “MAMA!! MAMA!! *runs to my side* It’s an EMERGENCY!!” …. PAUSE ….
“Well then tell me, quickly!” *laughs in my head*
“Christopher put a toy in his mouth! …”
*STOMP STOMP STOMP ~ Christopher enters the room*
“… And it’s small – HE COULD CHOKE!!!”
I put out my hand towards Christopher and say “Give it to me please.”
He puts out his hand and places it in mine with a smile on his face.
“Do you have something in your mouth?”
He openes his mouth “Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh”
*Chuckles* “Don’t put things in your mouth okay.”
“Uh-haaaah.”
“Thank you for telling me Katlyn. Looks like he took it out of his mouth already.”
“Yea, probably because he didn’t want to be saved.”
That was her backwards way of saying he realized it wasn’t safe. LOL

She had her second Sunday school class with her new teacher that day… Aunt Karen has the same name as her… and well, she realized she loves everyone she knows and for all sorts of different reasons.

Christopher got his first haircut a couple days ago and looks sooo cutet!!! Katlyn came in to see:
“Uhh… that doesn’t look so good.”
“Why not?”
“Because it looks like he’s bald!”
“He’s only a little bald in the back… Daddy is bald sometimes.”
“Ohhh…. yea, he looks so cuuuuute!”

For the last week or so, Katlyn has been requesting to watch “The Wild Thornberries”. The first time she asked she said “I like to call it Tarzan because of the little wild boy.” Thinking okay, that’s cute… after all, I used to call Perfect Strangers, “Balki” because of one of the characters and it’s a funny thing to me now because I didn’t know the actual name of the show until I was an adult. haha
So just now, she says, “I want to watch Tarzan!” She puts it on Netflix and the opening starts out with explaining their situation, naming also the wild boy as “Donny,” to which Katlyn says, “Oh, his name isn’t Tarzan! It’s Donny! I thought it was Tarzan!” Then she began laughing at herself for her apparent silliness. She’s so cute. I didn’t realize she thought his name was Tarzan; I just assumed it was because he was a wild boy – like Tarzan. hahaha

“I’ll shoot you in the face forever!” LOL Chris isn’t very happy that I’m checking my facebook on his computer… and yet he’s standing next to me laughing hysterically while pretending to shoot me in the face with his hand. Katlyn was putting together a puzzle of Ariel and Derek from The Little Mermaid and the following took place:
“‘Oh no! Where is my arm! Where are my legs?? What’s happening’ ‘I don’t know! I am missing some of my face!’ ‘ Katlyn will save us!’”
She then started singing a suitable version of “I love you” from Barney for them. “I love you, you love me. We’re the best husband and wife as husband and wife should be! With a great big hug and a kiss from me to you! Won’t you say you love me too!” lol
“‘Eric! Don’t leave me! Please don’t go!!’ ‘I have to go! I just have to!’ ‘Oh… I’m over reacting… I’m over reacting because I don’t want you to go.’” LOLOLOL!! Where does she come up with this stuff. hahaha
She then talking in something like a British accent. lol
She began singing the song again and after she says “Won’t you say you love me too?” She has the other say, “I love you too.” lol
Christopher began dancing to her singing. hehe

Anyone else have a child that would climb inside you if it were physically possible? I don’t think this boy could get ANY closer to me… yet he continues to try. lol
Christopher is sitting next to me… he started about 18 inches away per my request and has inched his way closer and closer to me over an hour period of time. I waited, knowing from past experience, that soon he’d be driving his head into my side…….again……. lol
It wasn’t long before he was rubbing his head on my arm, followed by his butt on me, and thus ending with his head in my lap. This boy is a cuddle bug. I’ll soak it in … soon enough he’ll be too big and I’ll miss his sweet little body in my arms.

“Okay Katlyn, you’re walking down the road and come to the end. To continue walking you need to cross the road. What do you do before you cross the road?” “Wait until the dam is fixed?” LOL WHAT??? ROFL!
I asked her if she read that in a story and she said no but that there was a dam in a movie she watched. I then asked her if they couldn’t cross the road because of it and she said no, that they could go around it. lol This girl…. she’s complex I tell ya.
I aske…d her again afterwards and got even more specific “Let’s try that again. You and I are walking down the road and you’re holding my hand. We get to the end of the street. There is another road that goes this way (motions the different direction). We want to keep walking on the other road but first we need to cross it to get to the other side. What do you do first?”
“Look both ways.”
“Then what?”
“If there are no cars coming, then we go. Or we wait until the cars have passed.”
There ya go.

Found a couple of oldies from when I first started tomato staking the girls. So sweet and funny!!
Katlyn (when she was 3 years old) was jumping up and down for me and I quietly said – “Excuse me?” and she stopped immediately and said “Excuse me, Mother?” and waited until I responded! LOL (BTW I never told her to call me mother! haha)

Karyn (when she was almost 14 months old) was screaming and I said “Karyn, NO screaming” and instantly she stopped and signed please.
Karyn took Katlyn’s toy that she was playing with and Katlyn starting acting like an animal and screaming/crying for it back. I quickly went in and said “Excuse me?” and she, through tears put on a big smile and said “Excuse me, Mother?”
Me: “What love?”
Katlyn: “Have please uh can I have my purse?”
Me: “Certainly, go ask Karyn nicely for it.”
Katlyn: “Karyn, have please uh can I have my purse?”
Karyn handed purse back.
Me: “Karyn, say sorry to your sister for taking it without asking first.”
Karyn runs to Katlyn and hugs her saying “Sah-sah sistah”

I turned on the truck that Chris 2.0 got as a gift from his Great Grammy and Great Grampy Gurney and he handed me his other truck (which is actually the girls truck to their polly pocket) so I could turn that one on too. He made it clear he wasn’t interested in it anymore after I explained that it didn’t make noises when he quickly discarded it and moved on with his new truck. lol

Me: “Not right now.”
Karyn to Katlyn: “She said ‘Not right now.’”
Katlyn: “YAAAYY”
Me: “Why’d you say ‘Yay’?”
Katlyn: “Because you said ‘Not right now.’”
Me: “Yea… so why did you say ‘Yay’?”
Katlyn: “Because you said ‘Not right now.’”
Me: “Yes. But WHY did you say ‘Yay’?”
Katlyn: “Because you said ‘Not right now.’”
Me: “Katlyn. Why are you excited that I said ‘Not right now.’”
Katlyn: “Because it means we might be able to play.”
HAHAHA It’s not even the conversation that was funny… just that it took that long for us both to finish it. ROFL!!!

Katlyn squealed with big eyes and Karyn was wowed at the news that they are having another little brother or sister. I can’t wrap my mind around the fact that I’ll have another baby… trying to imagine holding another child that is mine that isn’t Katlyn, Karyn, or Christopher is truly boggling my mind! haha I will have an itty bitty baby girl that is not Karyn or Katlyn or an itty bitty baby boy who’s not Christopher in just nine months! So amazing and exciting! When I asked the girls what they wanted, they both decided they would like a little sister this time and a little brother next time (Karyn actually asked for 4 babies first). LOL!!! Upon my explanation that there likely isn’t 4 babies in my belly, she then tried to negotiate with me which gender would be the first (both girls have the idea that we’ll have several more babies haha). I had to explain that we had to wait and find out… that we don’t put in an order like we do at a restaurant. hehe So cute.

The girls overheard me talking about the plans we had this weekend and from my bedroom I heard the following conversation:
Karyn squeals to Katlyn – “Mama said we have Cawlas this weekend!!”
Katlyn: “Cawlas? What’s Cawlas?”
Karyn: “No CAAW-LAAAA” LOL!!
Katlyn: “CaRRRla?” then looking at me and said “Karyn said we have Carla’s this weekend, is that true?”
Me: “Yep.”
Then they both started screaming and jumping around the living room. LOL
